Vacation Like A Boss Lady With Annie Cheng
Armoire Member and founder of The Table Less Traveled, Annie Cheng, shares her experience traveling through Italy with 8 rented pieces, a few basics, and her travel essentials — all packed into a single carry on.

Living a travel lifestyle where I’m fluttering around the world like a butterfly can look glamorous, but what most people don’t see is all the behind the scenes frustration. A lot of that comes from logistics management — such as packing, unpacking, choosing what to pack, etc.
I’m the founder of The Table Less Traveled and we host travelers for curated, small group trips in Italy, Japan, Peru, and Malaysia. I was hanging around the Armoire pop-up while getting ready to leave for Italy for a month, when I started talking about the logistics issues of a subscription membership as a travel entrepreneur. Instead of putting my membership on hold, Armoire and I came up with the idea for an 8-piece travel pack (no swaps), perfect to round out my wardrobe more fully while being on the road for an extended period of time.
Our trips are an extension of your Armoire lifestyle — a vacation made for boss ladies who value community, sustainability, and style.
Let’s cut to the chase – I’ve been in Italy for 3 weeks and have absolutely been loving my ‘travel pack.’ Armoire is making the travel pack available for your next travel adventures, using code INTTRAVEL8.
Now that you know about it, you need the perfect destination to use your travel pack. Well, of course, we think that is on our Heart of Italy Tour coming up this fall. We will be leading two trips on September 21-29 and October 5-13 where we will take you to the Amalfi Coast, Florence, the Tuscan countryside, and the vineyards of Emilia-Romagna.
Our trips are an extension of your Armoire lifestyle — a vacation made for boss ladies who value community, sustainability, and style. We introduce you to our friends, farmers who make cheese fresh in front of you, jewelers whose crafts have been passed down through generations in their families, and locals who will cook for you in their homes. Our small groups of maximum 12 people give us access to intimate settings. Since we’ve “been there and tried that,” you can rest assured we’re only taking you to the best of the best. All you have to do is show up and we take care of the rest — research, planning, logistics, etc. We even include tips so you don’t have to think about cash.
During this trip to Italy it’s been fun to open up my suitcase and actually be excited about the things in it that I get to wear. With an Armoire stylist we picked some of my favorite items that were lightweight, versatile for day and night, and could be worn and paired with a variety of my go-to travel items in my own wardrobe.
And what’s the perfect topper for joining one of our curated, ‘ready-to-go’ trips? Now you can pair it with an 8-piece wardrobe from Armoire so your packing is easy and you don’t have to worry about laundry when you get home.
I’m notorious for having a few items that I always travel with – 1 pair of jeans, 1 neutral cardigan, 1 white t-shirt, etc. but I hate that most of my travel pictures are in the same repeat outfits. One of my favorite pieces during this trip has been the Lacausa jumper I’m renting from Armoire. It’s super light, breezy, and easy to throw on with sneakers and a cardigan for a casual look like strolling through the vineyards during our wine tasting. And it’s also easy to pair with heels and a shawl to dress appropriately for dinner at Gloria’s apartment in Florence.
Another go-to has been the Zuri dress / jacket. I wore this as a dress, belted, while walking to and from meetings with hotel managers in Amalfi. And then I topped it as a jacket over a bright pink Theory dress (also rented from Armoire) while strolling through the streets of Florence at sunset before a fancy rooftop aperitivo.
Whether you’re learning to roll pasta in a private villa in Tuscany or taking selfies overlooking the cliffs of Sorrento, Armoire’s travel pack will fit perfectly for your trip.
