The company is dedicated to creating a brand that is honest, accessible, and ethically made. Production happens in small batches with local manufacturers in Seattle and Singapore — and the brand works closely with these factories to ensure quality control and a fair, professional manufacturing environment.
Designed in NYC by women, for women — the brand’s core values include convenience, fit, style, functionality, confidence, and community. After working in finance for nearly six years, Nora noticed a need for attractive women’s workwear. The collection supports the busy lifestyle of a business traveler or modern executive who needs her wardrobe to transition from the boardroom to cocktail hour effortlessly. MakeFashion | Lumen Couture
As a fashion technologist, Chelsea co-invented Lumen Couture using knowledge from her background in design and technology at Facebook, Amazon, and startup BeauCoo. The brand provides stylish illuminated outfits for special events with shine. Chelsea is a co-founder of MakeFashion and has produced 6 years of runway fashion shows around the world and over 100 fashiontech garments. MakeFashion contributes to introducing young girls to STEM through hands-on education in creating wearable tech fashion.
