WHY DID YOU JOIN?
Professionally, I received the biggest speaking engagement of my career so far and as I was putting together my website for it, I realized every single video of me speaking had me wearing the same floral outfit. It looked great in the first video, less so in the second one (I was pregnant), and in the third video (post-baby), it was downright unflattering. I knew something had to change.
Personally, I had to attend my sister’s wedding 6 months after having a baby. I went to visit a highly-recommended personal stylist in town. Not only did she make me feel terrible about my body, but also all but strong-armed me into buying a $700 designer dress in a size I hoped I wouldn’t be again unless I had another baby. I don’t believe size determines style BUT I think new mums need a lot more empathy from our society. I realized I couldn’t bring my best self to work and play without some help…Armoire appeared at exactly the right time!

I use it weekly for the majority of personal and professional events in my life. Armoire has been part of big milestones in my life: my son’s first AND second birthdays, keynote speeches, date nights with my husband, and my Armoire closet has traveled the world with me – London, Dubai, Singapore, Tokyo, and more…

I would love for it to be more body-positive and include more diverse representation of style and beauty. We have long way to go but I see changes slowly!
