Her Life
Tell Us About Yourself
I was born and raised in the Philippines and moved to the US in my 20’s back in 1990. I am a proud Filipino American mother of two adult children— Matthew, age 27 and Lexi, age 25. I am happily remarried to my husband Peter and we just celebrated our 10 year anniversary. My grandson lovingly refers to me as GiGi, short for Glam Gram.
I am the brains behind the Instagram account @confessionsofasuperager. I started my blog in Oct. of 2017 as a platform for inspiring other women in their midlife or approaching midlife (as I was when I started my platform) to embrace this time in their life and do it with STYLE!

I am most proud that I have been able to parlay midlife into a “second act” and a career, if you will, as I incur more paid partnerships and collaborations with the numerous beauty, fashion and lifestyle brands.
Her Career
How she’s redefining fashion for women over 50
It isn’t so much redefining fashion as much as I hope I inspire women over 50 to get up, show up and style up everyday. The alternative— to no longer care because we feel we are now too old for certain fashion trends—is depressing.
What inspired her to start blogging
I was turning 50 at the time and I wanted to create an avenue where I could celebrate that milestone. Additionally, I wanted to inspire other midlifers to think “our best years, our best life” is now and is still to come!

Her biggest challenge
For now my biggest challenge is creating a balancing act between my full time job, my side hustle as a social media influencer and spending quality time with my husband and family. It’s important to me that time with my loved ones is in a “safe space” as my husband calls it, which means without my phone or without me filming content for my IG stories.
The support I get from my followers as well as other midlife influencers I’ve gotten to know through Instagram inspires me to push through with my social media goals.

Her Secret to a Work/Life Balance
Setting realistic goals that I am passionate about, whether it pertains to my day job, my social media presence, my health or my relationships.
Any words of wisdom for women discovering their midlife style?
- Get out of your comfort zone. That is where the most change happens.
- Your age should not define how you look or dress. How you feel about yourself and your appearance should be the measure by which you define yourself, not the opinion of others.
- My personal mantra: always dress like you are going someplace better later.
Her Style
Her favorite part about Armoire
I love that I am buying less and wearing more. I’ll admit, my husband loves this part more than I do. I also love that I can freshen up the wardrobe I already have by mixing them with the pieces I rent from Armoire.
How Armoire fits into her life as a blogger
Armoire allows me to showcase my style along with current trends without having to personally spend a fortune doing so. The endless access to new styles means I never run out of Instagramable looks!

The Armoire outfit that made her feel like a total Boss Lady
Can I mention 3 outfits? I loved them all too much to only choose one!
I loved the metallic Equipment dress I wore to a morning wedding last October, the red Amanda Wakely dress I wore to a work event and again in Paris to dinner, and the Derek Lam navy blazer I wore strolling around in Paris.
