Stand Out With These Cute Work Dresses

Armoire Everything, Styling Tips business rental clothing, dresses to rent

And just like that, we are in the final swing of summer (and wearing cute work dresses sans jacket). Sigh. Depending on where you are in the country, this one can be a real doozy. The heat is finally seeping into the sheltered corners of your home and office, making legs stick to chairs no matter how still you try to be.

There’s no easy way to dress for summer in the office, but we have a few ideas. Renting cute work dresses is something to consider as you look for business clothing to meet your style and fit requirements when it comes to finding pieces that are flattering and seasonal. Work-appropriate dresses help you toe the line of showing enough skin to remain cooler in the heat but also keeping things professional on those scorching hot days. Bonus: two of our favorite rental dresses pair perfectly with a summer blazer or light cardigan.

Take this Marc by Marc Jacobs drape front dress. A little black dress is classy for any occasion, but there’s three reasons this piece stands out to us.

The high neckline

Not only is it figure flattering for busts of any size, but it also helps maintain a conservative (read: warmer) look for the any ice-box office. The broader shoulders enhance the sophisticated silhouette and also make it easy to layer a cardigan on top without bunching sleeves.

The draped front

This swirl of fabric guides the eyes from top to bottom, while also taking the dress a level up from simple, black and tight. With a blazer on top, this number is completely work appropriate. But when you go sleeveless in the evening, the smooth back accentuates curves in just the right way.

The shorter length

In-between knee-length and cocktail short, this hem shows more or less leg depending on your height. If you’re 5’7″ or taller, you’ll have a classy amount of leg showing. For reference, Neda is 5’7″. Any shorter and you’re a-okay for business casual. Either way, you’ll look great from career events to wine Wednesdays.

We also pulled out this Tahari ASL printed fitted dress to highlight on option on the other end of the summer work dress spectrum. Break up the blah of the boardroom with this eye-catching but endlessly classy number.

Too often we find ourselves in seas of black, but this print is universally flattering. Pair this dress with a simple black heel and pearls to complete the look. No matter what, if any, accessories you choose, simplicity is your best friend here. This dress will help you own the floor from the moment you enter any room — leaving space for your thoughts and ideas to be heard.

Either way, we know these cute summer dresses will help you feel confident at work, and that’s where the real power lies. Speak your mind, share your ideas, mentor other coworkers and look great through all of it.

As long as we’re giving you time back to focus on building these relationships and making an impact with those around you, we’re happy. And we hope you are too. No matter what, we’re here to help you work harder.
