This Rec Room dress is perfect for San Diego heat waves with their sporty, breathable fabrics! Another wonderful brand discovered through my Armoire membership. So glad I gave this color a shot, and my husband really liked this one too. Cameo in the back by Nacho the dog.

Her Story

This Love My Reality short set is a whole vibe and I love it! I felt so glamorous AND comfortable wearing it, and I received non-stop compliments. I’m so happy Armoire introduced me to this fabulous, Black-owned brand!

“I volunteer as a Board Member with the California Innocence Project, an organization dedicated to exonerating wrongfully convicted individuals.

I also volunteer with Frosted Faces Foundation, an organization dedicated to finding homes and medical care for senior animals.

Both organizations host events every year that I would typically rent dresses for, but this year since everything is virtual you’ll find me in sweats and a Zoom-friendly top!”

Her Style

I haven’t really gone anywhere for months, so sometimes I’ll throw a fancy dress into my case just to try it out. This BB Dakota dress made me feel beautiful.

“It’s normally gala season for me about now, and I would be renting dresses (I don’t buy my gowns.) I’ve been craving that kind of fun, so I rent the dresses anyway! I’ve been having a lot of fun taking pictures. It’s still something I can do for myself.

Pre-COVID, 90% of my rentals used to be classic business casual clothes. Now, I find that I’m open to wearing whatever looks fun. I’ve felt like I can try out new types of clothes, and I’ve definitely gotten more adventurous!

When it comes to clothes, I know what I want. For me, Armoire has always been about fun, and dressing the way I want to dress. All while being financially responsible- and avoiding dry cleaning! Armoire feels like the responsible choice at the end of the day.”

One of my favorite things about Armoire is that I get to try things that are not part of my “typical” style. This French Connection jumpsuit is a perfect example – I tend to shy away from wide-leg silhouettes, but I had a lot of fun wearing this!

Their customer service is also one of a kind – you really get personalized, one-on-one attention anytime you reach out. That hasn’t always been my experience with rental, and it’s one of the things that led me to Armoire!

I absolutely love the PWR Feed too! It’s not overly busy like Instagram, and it’s so useful (and fun!) to see how the clothes fit on real people.”
